Impressions Hair Studio opened its doors for the first time on February 6, 1993. It was a childhood dream of Kathy Fried, owner and founder, and that dream came true rather quickly when three stylists met for coffee at Crossroads Cafe (now Bella Mia) and decided it was time to start a new salon. They had very little time to open and to many peoples disbelief, Impressions was brought to life in a matter of weeks. Even though the salon chairs didn’t match, there were no stations, and family members were shampooing and answering phones, Kathy didn’t let that stop her.

In November 1998 Impressions began to grow. The salon expanded into the suite next door and added tanning beds. After several years it was decided that the area for tanning was better suited for a remodel of the salon and that area was transformed into a more customer friendly front desk, reception area and a larger product area. Impressions has been known for its changes, always for the better.

In 2012 Impressions celebrated it’s 19th anniversary in new surrondings at the front of the shopping center. The new location gave Impressions a new stylist look with the same great service that has been provided since day one from the great staff. Although many employees have come and gone, over half the staff have been working at Impressions for over 10+ years with many returning to visit and fill in when needed. Impressions is not just a business to Kathy, it is an extension of her family.
